I'm Mike, I play rugby and I write match reports for giggles and to sometimes go in the paper. Most of them are written as first drafts so apologies if there's typos but I can't be arsed to go back and fix them all...yet. I'm also a Chiropractor and I write occasional articles on health as well as the occasional other fart-arsing. It's very amateur so don't go taking it too seriously!

BUCS: AECC RFC v Winchester Uni (Oct 2010)

AECC RFC 36
Winchester University 14

AECC Rugby got off to a winning start this year, when they entertained a confident Winchester University 1st XV. Despite being short handed due to the freshman students undertaking their GCC exam, the Chiros disposed of the Winchester pretenders with ruthless efficiency.

Tries from Mike Richards, Frankie Kelly (!), Alex Horne (with a lovely assist from Tom Faulkner), Joe Frost, and two from Bournemouth university’s Dan Taylor helped the AECC cruise to victory. Matthew Bateman added the extras on two conversions, with Jordan Gregory manning up for five minutes or so and stroking a conversion himself with the final kick of the game.

Big hands go to all the guys who helped us out of a hole that afternoon – Jordan, Frankie, Louis Blackwell, Dan Taylor, Buzza and Chris Marshall. However, the man of the match award was shared between Jordan (for overcoming his fears) and Frankie (try scoring hero).
