I'm Mike, I play rugby and I write match reports for giggles and to sometimes go in the paper. Most of them are written as first drafts so apologies if there's typos but I can't be arsed to go back and fix them all...yet. I'm also a Chiropractor and I write occasional articles on health as well as the occasional other fart-arsing. It's very amateur so don't go taking it too seriously!

Inter-Chiro Cup: AECC RFC v WIOC RFC (Jan 2011)

AECC RFC 47
WIOC RFC 5

Sunday 30th January 2011

At Meyrick Park on a surprisingly cold Sunday, the AECC hosted the boys from the Welsh institute of Chiropractic for a clash of the titans - or at least, a clash between Damian Le Roux and most of the WIOC team, most notably their Welsh Universities inside centre Ollie Turton. Le Roux stamped his authority all over the game, even scoring the game’s opener. Owing to a massive hangover and the fact that nobody took any notes as usual (even special guest referee Robert Todd), most of the scorers escaped me, although the game was also notable for the return of Alan “The Swerve” Ryan, who is just a bloody good player. THE RAM IS BACK!

Therefore, the AECC won the first, inaugural and indeed premier “Mallum Stevens Memorial Trophy”. The rugby boys are certainly planning a return trip soon, so that they can have a proper boat race in the bar in peace.
